Personal profile：

Zhou Changcheng was born in September 1957 in Jingmen City, Hubei Province. He was a member of Jiusan Society. He received his master's degree in sociology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1993 and his Doctor's degree in economics from Wuhan University in 2003. He is a student of the sixth session of the Sino-American Culture Research Center of Hopkins University-Nanjing University, and has attended the 17th training course for middle-level cadres of Democratic Parties of the Central Institute of Socialism, and obtained a graduation certificate. He participated in the 2006 University Philosophy and Social Science Teaching and Research Backbone Training Course (the sixth phase) jointly organized by the Organization Department of the Central Committee, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, the Party School of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army at the Party School of the Central Committee, and obtained the completion certificate. He has been a senior Visiting Scholar at Harvard University in the United States, a senior visiting scholar at Stanford University in the United States, a visiting scholar at Uppsala University in Sweden, a visiting research fellow at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, and a DAAD Scholar in Germany.

He served as Deputy Director of the Department of Sociology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Deputy Dean of the Law School of Wuhan University. He is currently Deputy Director of the Department of Sociology of Wuhan University (independent establishment), Professor of sociology (since 1998) and doctoral supervisor (since 2003). He has participated in many important international academic conferences such as the World Congress of Sociology, the Annual Meeting of American Sociology, and the Conference on Asian Studies, and has organized many international and domestic academic conferences.
