Personal profile：

Gui Sheng, male, born in 1961, a member of the Communist Party of China, is from Huangmei, Hubei Province.

He received his Ph.D. in history from Central China Normal University in 1993. Currently, he is professor of Sociology Department of Wuhan University, doctoral supervisor, Deputy director of Intangible Culture Research Center of Wuhan University, and director of Social Culture Research Center of Wuhan University.

Visiting Scholar, Department of Sociology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Visiting Professor, National Yamaguchi University, Japan.
