【Abstract】It is of great significance to study the labor supply of the elderly in China for the implementation of the national strategy of "active aging". Using CiteSpace software, the visual econometric analysis of the literature of CSSCI source journals (including extended editions) that studied the labor supply of the elderly in China from 2002 to 2022 showed that the overall number of published papers showed a trend of "slow growth, accelerated growth, rapid decline, short-term rebound, and decline again". The research results are mainly concentrated in demographic journals, covering a wide range of disciplines, but there is a lack of collaboration between author teams and institutions. The research topics mainly involve the policy direction of increasing the labor supply of the elderly under the background of "active aging", the impact of the social security system on the labor supply of the elderly, the impact of the labor supply of the elderly on the sustainability of the pension insurance fund, the impact of the retirement decision of the elderly on the labor supply of the elderly, and the importance, problems and improvement paths of the development of human resources for the elderly. The research process consists of two stages: germination and development. Future research can expand the research content from the perspectives of the state, society, family and individual, pay attention to the guarantee of labor supply for the elderly in rural areas, and provide reference for relevant policy practice.
