In July 2022, as a phased outcome of "Wuhan University Labor and Social Security National First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Project" and "Wuhan University 2020 Internship Training Project", "Thinking and Doing -- Wuhan University Labor and Social Security Professional Talent Training and Innovative Practice of College Students" is published by Guangming Daily Press and published publicly.

The collection of papers selected and compiled some achievements of teachers and students of the Department of Public Economics and Social Security of Wuhan University in recent years in the teaching and learning practice activities, showing the teachers and students in the daily teaching and learning practice activities. The book is divided into two chapters, a total of 18 articles. The first part - professional construction and teaching practice, including Luojia social security team on the social security teaching reform and innovation of the latest thinking, a total of 11. The next part - talent cultivation and social practice, includes the Luojia social security team in recent years to carry out the latest results of social practice research activities, a total of 7.

The proceedings, co-edited by Professor Xiang Yunhua and Professor Meng Yingying of the School of Politics and Public Administration, Wuhan University, and co-edited by all the faculty members of the Department of Public Economics and Social Security, are the collective crystallization of all the teachers and students of the Department of Public Economics and Social Security of Wuhan University. The responsibility of teachers to students, the enthusiasm of students for their profession, and the legacy of Luojia Social Security are all reflected in the book, which fully reflects the academic inheritance of teaching and learning, thinking and doing together. I believe that the publication of the papers will have a positive significance in promoting the construction of a first-class undergraduate program in labor and social security major of Wuhan University.
