2018年12月22日，由南京大学、光明日报社主办，南京大学中国智库研究与评价中心、光明日报智库研究与发布中心承办的“2018中国智库治理暨思想理论传播高峰论坛”在南京举行。本次会议发布了“中国智库索引（CTTI）2018年度高校智库百强榜”，并将入选的CTTI高校百强智库按照排名细分为三个等级，其中A+级智库25家，A级智库35家，A-级智库40家。
经过中国智库索引数据统计及专家评审，武汉大学社会保障研究中心成功入选中国智库索引（CTTI）2018年度高校智库百强榜！获评等级为A-。
