【Abstract】The foundation system is the philanthropic entity that receives the most social donations. As an important carrier of the third distribution, the development of the foundation will help improve the income distribution system and promote common prosperity in an all-round way. The foundation is a mixed organization, and the logic of public welfare and the logic of the market (asset management logic) are the underlying logic of the foundation, which generally affects the operation of various types of foundations. Different types of foundations have formed different specific logics in different institutional environments. Based on the theory of multiple institutional logics, this paper analyzes the conflict between the underlying logic and the specific logic of foundations, which is conducive to clarifying the causes of mission drift, fund value preservation and appreciation, and their impact on different types of foundations, and then proposes corresponding governance strategies from the institutional environment and organizational level.
