【Abstract】As family care is gradually evolving into a scarce resource, care economics studies how to create, select and allocate new care resources from the perspective of explaining how to use care as a scarce resource to meet diverse care needs. It revolves around three main subjects: care service providers, government and care market organizations, and has evolved into the branches of care behavior economics, care public economics and care industry economics. The implications of the development and evolution of care economics are that care activities have important economic value, and care decision-making is a dynamic process full of heterogeneity. Government intervention in care activities has obvious positive externalities, which can be regarded as a potential investment in human capital and social investment. With the structural transformation of the market economy and the flow of factors, it is possible to take care of the development of economic industrialization. Although the current development of foreign care economy is constrained by factors such as pricing difficulties, poor implementation of public policies, and Baumol's "cost disease", it can still provide important reference and enlightenment for the research and development of care economy in China.
