【Abstract】Based on the data of the 2016 China Family Longitudinal Survey (CFPS) and the Probit regression model, the empirical analysis of the impact of child support on the life satisfaction of the rural elderly was analyzed. The study found that children's financial support and life care can significantly improve the life satisfaction of the rural elderly. When the two types of child support behaviors were included in the model at the same time, although the results were not statistically significant, life care would reduce the effect of economic support on the life satisfaction of the rural elderly to a certain extent. Through group regression and the test of introducing interaction terms, it was found that the life satisfaction of males and middle-aged and low-aged elderly groups was more sensitive to the economic support provided by their children, while there was no significant gender and age heterogeneity in the impact of children's life care on the life satisfaction of the rural elderly. Therefore, in order to actively respond to the aging of the population and improve the life satisfaction of the elderly in rural areas, it is suggested to strengthen the legislation and system construction of the family support system, rationally allocate child support resources, and promote the formation of good living habits and social relations among the elderly.
