【Abstract】Using the Probit model to analyze the micro data of CGSS2013 households and the macro data of insurance supply, and explores the factors affecting the participation of commercial medical insurance, it is found that the insufficient supply restricts the participation of residents, which has a significant impact on the western, central and rural areas. Insufficient family wealth, lack of insurance knowledge, and basic medical insurance also affect residents' participation in insurance. It advocates promoting the structural reform of the insurance supply side, and insurance companies should add branches to make up for the shortcomings of supply. The government has increased peasant incomes, popularized insurance knowledge, and provided limited protection.
