On the morning of September 10th, 2024, Yin Xiucai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Social Insurance Fund Administration, and his delegation visited the Social Security Research Center of Wuhan University for a discussion and exchange. Xu Dongxing, Assistant to the President and Director of the Party and Government Office of Wuhan University, Liang Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Politics and Public Administration, Liu Hongbo, Deputy Dean of the School of Politics and Public Administration, Professor Xiang Yunhua, Director of the Social Security Research Center, and Associate Professor Xue Huiyuan, Deputy Director of the Social Security Research Center and Deputy Director of the Department of Public Economics and Social Security, attended the research symposium.

  Director Yin Xiucai is an outstanding graduate trained by our center, and is a 2002 academic master's degree student majoring in social security of our center. At the symposium, Director Xiang Yunhua first introduced the development of the Social Security Research Center in recent years from the aspects of faculty, scientific research, and political services. Subsequently, Director Yin Xiucai introduced the basic situation of the Guangdong Provincial Social Insurance Fund Administration, the work it has recently promoted, and the problems faced in the reform. Then, the two sides had full discussions and exchanges on the promotion of the second and third pillars of pension insurance, the sustainability of the first pillar pension insurance fund, the social insurance of migrant workers and workers in new employment forms, the social security issues left over from the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, the financing problems of residents' medical insurance, the development of supplementary medical insurance, and pension finance.

  Finally, Director Yin Xiucai exchanged views on the content of further cooperation with the School of Political Science and Public Administration and the Social Security Research Center.
